Thunderstorm and Heavy Rain Warning for Multiple Malaysian Regions

Kuala Lumpur:The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across several areas in the country, excluding Sarawak, until 5 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the adverse weather conditions are expected to impact the entire regions of Perlis and Penang. In Kedah, the affected areas include Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. Perak's affected regions comprise Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak.

The warning extends to Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai in Kelantan, as well as Besut, Hulu Terengganu, and Dungun in Terengganu. In Pahang, the areas involved are Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, and Bentong. In Selangor, the warning covers Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, and Klang.

In Negeri Sembilan, the warning includes Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau, and Kuala Pilah. Johor's affected areas are Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, and Mersing.

In Sabah, the warning applies to Sandakan (Kinabatangan, Paitan, and Sandakan), Tawau (Lahad Datu and Kunak), the West Coast, Interior (Membakut, Tambunan, Keningau, Sipitang, Beaufort, and Tenom), and Kudat (Kota Marudu).
