Nirjuli: Bangladesh U-19 national football team defender Ashikur Rahman stated their main focus is on securing a win in the semifinal match of the SAFF U-19 Championship scheduled for May 16.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ashikur mentioned that the team has completed a training session and will have two more before the semifinal. The defender emphasized the team’s determination to win the semifinal, regardless of their opponent. This sentiment was echoed by central midfielder Samuel Raksam, who reiterated their sole objective of winning the semifinal match.
Assistant coach Abhul Hossain explained that the practice sessions are planned with the semifinals in mind, and the team is not concerned about their opponent’s strategy. Instead, they are focused on enhancing their training. The assistant coach remains optimistic about overcoming the semifinal challenge.
