Dhaka: The much-anticipated finals of the Dhaka’s Rising Stars 2025 Under-12 and Under-14 inter-school football tournament are scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Fortis Jalshiri ground in Purbachal. The event will witness fierce competition as Sir John Wilson School is set to compete against Scholastica Mirpur in the U-14 final at 8:30 am, followed by the U-12 final where Scholastica Mirpur will face Sir John Wilson School at 10:30 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president, Tabith Awal, is expected to be present at the event to distribute prizes to the winners after the conclusion of the finals. The Dhaka’s Rising Stars 2025 tournament is a new initiative introduced by the BFF, aimed at promoting football among young talents. The tournament saw participation from eight English-medium schools from the capital, competing in two age categories: Under-12 and Under-14.
The tournament has provided a platform for young football enthusiasts to showcase the
ir skills and has contributed to the growing interest in football at the grassroots level in Dhaka. The finals promise to be exciting as both schools have demonstrated strong performances throughout the tournament.
