Two Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested with Phensedyl in Satkhira

Satkhira: Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested two suspected drug dealers along with 1,649 bottles of Phensedyl in Kaliganj upazila of the district this morning. The arrested individuals have been identified as Imran Hossain, 29, and Kamal Hossain, 41, both residents of the Khanjia area under Kaliganj upazila.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team from RAB-6, CPC-1, Satkhira camp, acting on a tip-off, conducted a drive in the Khanjia area at around 8:50 am. During the operation, they successfully recovered the bottles of Phensedyl from the possession of the two suspects.



Following the arrest, the detainees were handed over to Kaliganj Police Station along with the seized drugs. A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act. Additional Superintendent of Police Rezaul Haque, Company Commander of CPC-1, Satkhira, emphasized that RAB’s operations against illegal arms, drugs, and listed criminals will persist, underscoring their commitment to combating illegal activities in the region.
