Two motorcyclists were killed as a covered van hit their motorcycle on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Amanullah Aman, 35, hailed from Purbo Kaodala area and Shishir, 28, an inhabitant of Jangal area in the district. The duo was cousins.
Traffic Inspector of Kachpur Highway Thana Ibrahim Mia said the accident occurred at around 3:30 pm in Kaodala area. They died on the spot.
Amanullah Aman and Shishir were heading towards Jangal from Madonpur riding the motorcycle.
Police seized the covered van from the spot.
The bodies were handed over to the respective family members.
