Jashore: A truck driver and his helper were killed when another truck collided with their stationary vehicle in the Manirampur Bazar area under Monirampur upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic incident occurred on the Jashore-Manirampur road at approximately 8 am. The accident happened when a fish-laden truck lost control and crashed into the stationary truck, resulting in the immediate deaths of the driver, Raju, aged 32, and the helper, Erfan, aged 28. Both victims were residents of Kolaroa upazila in Satkhira district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manirampur Police Station, Bablur Rahman Khan, confirmed the details of the accident. Following the incident, police authorities recovered the bodies and transported them to Jashore General Hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
