Members of District Detective Branch (DB) of
Police, in a drive, arrested two smugglers from Sadar upazila of the district
along with around 11 kilograms of silver ornaments this noon.
The arrested were identified as Sarwar Uddin, 28, hailed from Darshana
municipality area and Faruk Hossain, 32, an inhabitant of Sultanpur village
of the district.
Senior Assistant Police Super Jakia Sultana said, on information, the police
personnel stopped a motorcycle in Golappur Mour area under Sadar upazila this
noon and recovered the silver-made ornaments after searching the motorcycle.
During the drive, the police team also nabbed motorcycle rider Sarwar Uddin
and his co-rider Faruk Hossain in this connection.
