Two Fatalities and Multiple Injuries in Jashore Road Accidents

Jashore: Two people lost their lives, and ten others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Jashore district today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the first accident took place at around 6 am at Chatiantala in Jashore Sadar Upazila. This incident involved a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the Jashore-Jhenaidah highway. The crash severely injured Police Constable Fazlul Haque, who was stationed at Atra Police Outpost under Khulna Metropolitan Police, and Riyal Hasan, the son of Iman Uddin from Kashipur village in Kotchandpur Upazila of Jhenaidah. Another individual, Mamun Hossain, was also injured in the incident.



Emergency services, including local Fire Service personnel, responded swiftly, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Jashore General Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced Fazlul Haque dead upon arrival, and Riyal Hasan succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. Mamun Hossain remains in a critical condition.



The second accident happened around 12 pm in front of Bijli Petrol Pump in Fatepur Union, Jashore Sadar Upazila. A passenger bus and a truck collided head-on on the Jashore-Narail highway, resulting in injuries to nine people. Police reported that four of these individuals are in critical condition.



Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jashore Kotwali Police Station, Abul Hasnat, confirmed both incidents.
