Kishoreganj: Two farmers died from electrocution at Tarakandi village of Ramdi union under Kuliarchar upazila of the district today. The deceased were Md. Shahabuddin, 70, a resident of Tarakandi village, and Md. Majnu Mia, 60, a resident of Purba Tarakandi village of the union.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred this afternoon when they were working at their farm land near their house. They died on the spot after a live electric wire from a rural transmission line fell on them.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kuliarchar Police Station Md. Helal Uddin confirmed the matter. Police recovered the bodies and handed those over to their families.
