Two Dengue Patients Die, 455 Hospitalised in Nationwide Surge

Dhaka: Two dengue patients died while 455 were hospitalised in the last 24 hours today across the country.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the outbreak has seen patients admitted to hospitals from various divisions with Barishal reporting 57 cases, Chattogram 51, Dhaka division 53, Dhaka North City Corporation 106, Dhaka South City Corporation 55, Khulna 44, Mymensingh 32, Rajshahi 48, Rangpur 3, and Sylhet 6. This information was released by the health emergency operation and control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In contrast, 488 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of patients released this year to 96,232. The mosquito-borne disease has infected 98,284 individuals nationwide, with males accounting for 62.4 percent of cases and females 37.6 percent.
