Barishal: Two dengue patients died and 394 were hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) detailed that during the period, 108 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 81 in Chattogram division, 48 in Dhaka division, 34 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 48 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 34 in Khulna division, 31 in Rajshahi, and 10 patients were hospitalized in different hospitals in Rangpur division.
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 19,923, with 78 deaths reported from the mosquito-borne disease this year. Over the last 24 hours, 364 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the nation after receiving treatment.
Last year, the total number of dengue cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths reported, as mentioned in the statement.
