Rajshahi: A two-day career fair commenced on the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) campus today, creating an enthusiastic and festive atmosphere among attendees. RUET Career Forum (RCF), in collaboration with the Students’ Welfare Office and Rajshahi Engineering Old Students Association (REOSA), has organized this event for the tenth consecutive year, featuring participation from 20 esteemed companies.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fair aims to provide students and fresh graduates with a platform to engage with well-known corporate entities, gain insights into the job market, and explore direct recruitment opportunities. RUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr SM Abdur Razzaque inaugurated the event at the Shaheed Minar premises by releasing balloons, festoons, and pigeons, marking the beginning of the fair.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of several notable figures, including Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank PLC, Students’ Welfare Director Prof Dr Rabiul Islam, Planning and Development Director Prof Dr HM Rassel, and Research and Extension Director Prof Dr Abdul Khaleque. During his address, Prof Razzaque emphasized the fair as an excellent opportunity for qualified graduates to secure suitable employment and encouraged participants to make effective use of the platform. He also urged employers to consider recruiting skilled RUET graduates.
The career fair features various activities, including company stalls, an HR summit, seminars, and workshops. In addition to RUET students, participants from Rajshahi University and Varendra University are also involved, showcasing their talents and potential to prospective employers.
