Natore: A rare flower of the rainy season, ‘Jhumko Lata,’ has bloomed on the premises of Uttara Ganabhaban, an 18th-century royal palace known as Dighapatia Palace.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the flower, also known as Padma Gada Chakra, has made its appearance in the Italian Garden of the Ganabhaban. The distinct shape and scent of this flower have earned it the name Passion Flower. The Uttara Ganabhaban of Natore is an exemplar of unique architectural style, complemented by the constant chirping of birds and numerous rare trees that enhance its beauty.

Throughout the year, a variety of flowers bloom, and birds sing with the changing seasons. The Jhumko Lata flower, in particular, blooms at the onset of the monsoon season and is expected to continue spreading its fragrance well into the autumn.
