Khulna: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) - 6 arrested two individuals linked to the murder of a youth named Manjurul in the Harintana Ashibigha area under Labanchara Police Station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals are identified as Md Faruk and Masudul Islam Kader. The arrest took place in the Borni Dakshinpara area of Tungipara upazila in Gopalganj on Sunday. An RAB-6 press release revealed that miscreants hacked and shot Manjurul to death at Balur Math in the Harintana area on the evening of August 19.
Later that night, police discovered the blood-stained body of another youth, Nazmul, in the Shishubagan Ashibigha area around 9:45 pm. RAB has reported that the second killing was an act of retaliation for the first murder.
The attackers fled the scene immediately following the incidents, prompting the filing of separate cases with Labanchara Police Station for the two killings. Using advanced technology, RAB-6 successfully tracked and arrested Faruk and Kader from Borni Dakshinpara in Tungipara.
The two accused have been handed over to Labanchara Police Station for further legal proceedings. RAB continues its operations to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the killings.
