Dhaka: Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain today underscored the importance of collaborating with Moscow to address regional and global challenges, ensuring that Bangladesh-Russia relations remain robust. “Our two countries also need to continue the legacy of bonhomie, work together to address regional and global challenges, and ensure that the bonds between Bangladesh and Russia remain as strong as ever,” he stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser made these remarks during an event celebrating ’50 Years of The Russian House’ in Dhaka. Hossain highlighted the Russian House as a symbol of cultural diplomacy, a venue where thinkers, intellectuals, artists, and professionals from both nations gather to appreciate and understand each other’s cultures.
As the two countries marked the 50th anniversary of the Russian House, Hossain emphasized looking forward. “Indeed, the celebration of this significant milestone is not only a reflection of the past but also a renewed commitment to building an even stronger, more vibrant partnership in the years to come,” he affirmed.
Hossain called for continuing to build on the foundations laid by the Russian House, promoting cultural exchanges, strengthening people-to-people connections, and deepening the bilateral partnership. He acknowledged Russia’s significant contributions to various development sectors in Bangladesh, particularly highlighting the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant as a hallmark of bilateral cooperation.
