South Gulshan:Customs intelligence officials have shut down four warehouses belonging to Toss Bond (Pvt) Limited after discovering that only two of these facilities were officially declared or authorized.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID), in collaboration with the Department of Narcotics Control and Special Response Battalion-1 (SRB-1), conducted a joint operation at the company's premises. The operation revealed discrepancies related to the storage arrangements, leading to the sealing of the warehouses.

Toss Bond, owned by Sheikh Nur Islam, who is the father-in-law of content creator Salman Mohammad Muqtadir, was found to be using four warehouses, despite having authorization for only two. This was discovered during an on-site inspection by the joint team.

To prevent any unauthorized transfer or removal of duty-free or bonded goods, all four warehouses have been sealed. This measure is intended to aid in the verification and investigation process concerning the storage of bonded goods by the company.

Officials indicated that the inquiry aims to establish whether any bonded or duty-free goods were stored, transferred, or managed in violation of customs regulations. This operation underscores the authorities' ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with rules governing the storage and handling of goods imported under bond facilities.
