DHAKA, March 8, 2017 (BSS) - Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed left here Tuesday midnight for London to attend Commonwealth Trade Ministers' Meeting.
Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council is organising the meeting on March 9 and 10 at Lancaster House, said a ministry release today.
In the meeting, six important issues -- financial services, ease of doing business, technology and innovation, business and sustainability, creating an export economy and attracting investment -- would be discussed.
Bangladesh commerce minister is scheduled to address the technology and innovation and creating an export economy sessions.
Commerce ministers from 25 commonwealth countries are participating in the meeting. Apart from the agendas, they would also discuss inter-state trade, present scenarios of trade and exchange views to increase trade among them which are the residence of 2.3 billion populations.
The commerce minister is likely to return home on March 11.
