Chapainawabganj:A tragic incident occurred when a two-and-a-half-year-old boy named Abdur Rahman drowned in a canal in Alatuli Union of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Monday morning.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Abdur Rahman had been visiting his maternal grandparents in Raninagar Bilkandi of Alatuli Union. The accident happened around 10 a.m. when he accidentally fell into the canal near the house.
Family members quickly rescued Abdur Rahman and rushed him to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital. However, the on-duty doctor at the hospital declared him dead.
Ekramul Hossain, the officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station, stated that the body was handed over to the family after the necessary procedures were completed.
