Three Killed in Fatal Head-On Collision on Bhanga-Khulna Highway

Faridpur: Three people, including a sibling pair, were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and an ambulance at Bhanga in Faridpur this morning. The tragic incident unfolded when the Khulna-bound truck collided with the Dhaka-bound ambulance around 7:30 am in the Munsarabad area on the Bhanga-Khulna highway.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased were identified as Nishan, 23, son of Rahmatullah from Rajganj village under Monirampur upazila in Jashore; Mizanur Rahman, 40, son of Babar Ali from Chaltibari village under Keshabpur upazila in Jashore, and his sister Beauty Begum, 30. The collision claimed the lives of these three individuals on the spot.



Sub-Inspector Sohel Khan of Bhanga Highway Police reported that emergency responders, including highway police, local police, and a Fire Service team, swiftly arrived at the scene. They rescued the injured and transported them to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Legal action has been initiated in connection with the incident.
