Bhujpur: A mobile court today fined three illegal brick kilns Tk 7 lakh in the Bhujpur area under Fatikchhari upazila for polluting the environment, burning timber, and operating without a valid license.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Mozzemmel Hoq Chowdhury and assisted by police, conducted the drive in the area. The brick kilns were fined for operating without an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), which led to environmental pollution.
The brick kilns involved were identified as Messrs. Bangla Bazar BRICS, Messrs. National BRICS, and Messrs. Fatikchhari BRICS.
