Dhaka: Three dengue patients died and 685 patients have been hospitalized in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 125 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 89 in Chattogram, 122 in Dhaka division, 116 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 128 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 35 in Khulna, 21 in Mymensingh, 39 in Rajshahi, six in Rangpur, and four were admitted to different hospitals in Sylhet division, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases has risen to 37,891, while 150 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, have been reported this year. Last year, the total number of cases rose to 101,214, with 575 deaths from dengue disease reported, the release added.
