Dhaka: Three more advisers took oath at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban this evening. President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to them at 7:30 pm. After the oath-taking ceremony, they signed an oath of cabinet and an oath of secrecy.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and other dignitaries were present at the ceremony. The newly sworn-in advisers are businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, cultural personality filmmaker Mostofa Sarowar Farooki, and special assistant to the chief adviser Mahfuz Alam.
Cabinet Secretary Dr Sheikh Abdur Rashid conducted the oath ceremony. With these three advisers, the total number of advisers led by Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus has risen to 24. Earlier, on August 8, Chief Adviser, Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, took oath as the head of Bangladesh’s interim government.
