Rangpur: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rangpur Range Police, Mohammad Abdul Mabud, emphasized the profound role of teachers in society, describing teaching as a noble responsibility that shapes lives. He highlighted the multifaceted duties of educators, underscoring that teaching is far beyond a mere profession.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdul Mabud shared these sentiments at an introductory and interactive meeting with the teachers and staff of Rangpur Police Lines School and College. The event, which took place at the institution's auditorium, saw participation from Rangpur District Superintendent of Police Md Mozammel Haque and was presided over by the institution's Principal, Professor Md Obaidul Anwar.
Emphasizing the critical importance of teachers' status and responsibilities, Abdul Mabud urged educators to perform their duties with dedication and professional excellence, all while maintaining their dignity. He noted the need for teachers to work diligently, manage their emotions, and remain sincere in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Regarding the development of the Police Lines School and College, the DIG advocated for introducing positive changes aligned with the times, while preserving the institution's heritage and reputation. He stressed the importance of making decisions beneficial to the institution and called for improvements in the quality of education while maintaining its unique characteristics and traditions.
The DIG emphasized creating an environment conducive to education, ethics, discipline, and character building. He also highlighted the importance of mutual respect and responsibility between teachers and students. Encouraging a compassionate approach, he advised teachers to guide students onto the right path through parental compassion, counseling, and proper direction when they make mistakes.
He also urged teachers to regularly acquire new knowledge, stay informed about education-related laws, rules, and circulars, and integrate modern technology into their work. "By working together, we will transform this institution into an even better, modern, and high-quality center of learning," the DIG expressed his hope.
