New york: Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” is set to be released on October 3. This announcement was made by the star herself, as she revealed the cover art and tracklist for what is expected to be one of the biggest albums of the year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the news was shared during an episode of the “New Heights Show,” a podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason. The announcement was also confirmed through Swift’s social media channels, where she wrote, “And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3,” on Instagram.
Swift’s official website offers four different CD versions of the album, with a “sweat and vanilla perfume edition” available on cassette and vinyl. The cover for this edition features the 14-time Grammy winner partially submerged in water, wearing a rhinestone-studded top, with only her mouth, nose, eyes, and forehead visible above the surface.
The tracklist, unveiled on the same day, includes 12 songs, one of which features Sabrina Carpenter. Swift’s last major album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” was released in April of the previous year and quickly expanded into a double album titled “The Anthology,” dominating the charts for the year.
Recently, Swift concluded a nearly two-year world tour that grossed $2 billion, breaking records with its 149 shows, each lasting over three hours. Her relationship with NFL player Kelce has added to her celebrity status, despite her endorsement of Kamala Harris in the last US presidential election not impacting the results, which saw Donald Trump emerge victorious. Swift’s political stance drew criticism from Trump, who expressed his disapproval on social media.
