Tarique Rahman Urges BNP Leaders to Counter Emerging Conspiracies Collectively

Rangpur: Acting chairman of BNP, Tarique Rahman, emphasized the importance of confronting emerging conspiracies against the party during a virtual speech from London. Addressing party leaders and activists, he highlighted that the previously hidden adversaries are now becoming visible and actively spreading propaganda against the BNP.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rahman made this statement during training workshops organized for party leaders and workers from Rangpur, Nilphamari, and Syedpur upazila. These workshops, centered around the party’s 31-point state restructure and welfare agenda, took place at the Nilphamari Shilpakala Auditorium and Rangpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium. The sessions were organized by the BNP Central Training Committee, with participation from leaders and workers from various levels.



Rahman clarified that the BNP does not seek revenge for past injustices, stating, “The implementation of 31 points will be revenge for all oppression and torture.” He stressed the importance of uniting the people for nation-building, asserting that only the BNP can effectively address the needs of the country’s citizens. He urged party members to communicate the 31-point agenda at the grassroots level.



The BNP leader announced future initiatives, including allowances for educated unemployed youths, modernization of agriculture, and separate arrangements for farmers. Additionally, he emphasized support for youth entrepreneurship and the export of their products abroad.



The event featured speeches from BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Ismail Zabiullah, and BNP Training Affairs Secretary Rasheda Begum Hira, among others. District BNP President Alamgir Sarkar presided over the workshop, and District BNP Organizing Secretary Shefaul Jahangir Alam Shepur conducted it.



Rahman highlighted the contributions of the BNP’s founder, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and former premier Begum Khaleda Zia, in various sectors such as education, health, infrastructure development, and press freedom. He criticized the current government’s attempts to divide the nation and stressed the need to reduce differences for national unity.



He also emphasized the importance of considering all citizens as Bangladeshis, irrespective of religious identity, to build a harmonious nation. Rahman pointed out that approximately 30 million people are unemployed, stressing the need to expand the employment sector for the country’s progress. He invited professionals from various fields, including teachers, journalists, and lawyers, to contribute to the nation’s development.



The workshop at Rangpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium began with an inaugural speech by BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku. It was presided over by BNP’s Rangpur city unit convener Shamsuzzaman Samu and included remarks from BNP Media Cell Head Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel and Dhaka University Teacher Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun.
