On January 14, he will participate in a program in Rangpur and attend a BNP-organized event at his father’s house in Gabtoli, Bogura, before returning to Dhaka.
Tarique Rahman’s candidacy in the 13th National Parliament election from Bogura-6 and Dhaka-17 constituencies marks a significant shift in BNP’s election strategy. The Bogura-6 constituency holds historic importance for BNP, having been a stronghold for the party until 2008. In preparation for Tarique’s visit, Bogura city has undergone
extensive renovations. The district BNP office on Nababbari Road has been redesigned, and citywide cleanliness and infrastructure improvements are underway. The Satmatha-to-Phultala road has been repaired, and renovation work on the park at Shakpala intersection is expected to transform it into a renewed city landmark.
