Tarique Rahman Sends Eid Gifts to July Uprising Injured

Dhaka: Eid greetings and gifts, on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, have been provided to 229 individuals injured in the July Uprising who are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals in the capital.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Iftar packages and greeting letters were sent to 109 victims receiving treatment at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and 120 injured persons at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH). These gestures of goodwill were made following directives from Tarique Rahman and were hosted by the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) as a tribute to the injured heroes.



In his letter, Tarique Rahman expressed his respect and gratitude towards those injured, acknowledging their courage and sacrifice during the holy month of Ramadan. The letter emphasized the inspiration drawn from their bravery and the nation’s pride in their sacrifice. Rahman conveyed his commitment to standing by their side and highlighted the Iftar as a symbol of love and respect.



The event at Pangu hospital was attended by ZRF Executive Director Prof Dr Farhad Halim Donar, Pangu Hospital Director Prof Dr Abul Kenan, and other central leaders. At the National Institute of Ophthalmology, several distinguished figures, including Dhaka University Prof Dr Morshed Hasan Khan, were present to distribute the Iftar items and engage with the injured.



The attendees also took the opportunity to inquire about the treatment of the injured and exchanged pleasantries with them. The gesture is a testament to the ongoing support and solidarity with those affected by the July Uprising.
