Sirajganj: On behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, a delegation from ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ visited the family of Shanto Biswas, a promising student from Sirajganj who recently secured admission to Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the delegation, led by Amra BNP Paribar Convener and BNP cell Member Atiqur Rahman Ruman, met with Shanto’s family to convey greetings and support from Tarique Rahman. The visit included Sirajganj District BNP Convener Rumana Mahmud, Amra BNP Paribar General Secretary Mokhselul Momin Mithun, Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebok Dal District Convener Abdullah-Al Kayes, and former BNP central Committee Vice-President Zamil Hossain.

Atiqur Rahman Ruman explained that Tarique Rahman became aware of Shanto’s story through a newspaper article, prompting him to send the delegation to offer well-wishes and support. The Acting Chairman also committed to providing financial assistance, including a monthly educational stipend for Shanto’s future studies.

Shanto, who has been accepted into both BUET and KUET, faced potential obstacles in pursuing higher education due to financial difficulties. As the eldest child of Kalpana and Joykrishna Biswas from Gopalpur village in Kamarkhand upazila, Sirajganj, his family’s financial situation posed a challenge to his academic aspirations. Shanto’s sister, Trishna Biswas, is a ninth-grade student at Choubarhi Islamia High School.

The visit by ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ and Tarique Rahman’s support have provided Shanto with renewed hope, bringing him closer to achieving his educational dreams despite financial challenges.
