Ghatail: A mobile court of the Department of Environment fined Taka 8 lakh to three brick kilns for running illegally in Ghatail upazila of the district today. A team of the mobile court led by upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sabrin Akhter and Assistant Director of the District Environment Department Sajib Kumar Ghosh conducted drives and fined M/s Asia Bricks Taka 3 lakh, M/s SK Bricks Taka 3 lakh, and M/s SR Bricks Taka 2 lakh for making and burning bricks without complying with the Brick Kiln Establishment Regulation Act.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the drive will continue to protect the environment, Sajib Kumar Ghosh said.
