Tarique Rahman Inquires About Health Condition of Injured Chhatra Dal Leader Imran

Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today inquired about the medical condition of Chhatra Dal leader Imran, who has been undergoing treatment for eight months following injuries sustained during the July-August-2024 uprising. Tarique Rahman reached out to Imran via phone around 8:00 pm through the central General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Nasir Uddin Nasir.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the conversation, Tarique Rahman sought details about Imran’s physical condition. He expressed his sympathy for Imran and assured him of comprehensive support. Rahman emphasized that BNP members would be available to assist Imran throughout his treatment at the hospital.



Chhatra Dal Office Secretary Jahangir Alam, Assistant General Secretary Rahat Hossain, Dhaka College Chhatra Dal President Piyal Hasan, and Member Secretary Millad Hossain were present on the occasion. They also expressed their wishes for Imran’s speedy recovery.



Imran, a member of the convening committee of Dhaka College, was injured on July 19 last year when he was shot during the July movement in the capital’s Paltan area. Since that incident, he has been receiving treatment at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), widely known as ‘Pangu Hospital’ in the capital’s Shyamoli area.
