Tarique Rahman Extends Support to Injured Student from July Uprising

Bogura: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended his support to Lemon, a class nine student injured during the July uprising in Bogura. Lemon was wounded by law enforcement forces' firing amid the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman directed 'Amra BNP Paribar', a BNP cell, to provide financial assistance for Lemon's treatment. The assistance was given at a function in Paddapara village, Gabtali Upazila, Bogura district. Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar' and a member of the BNP Media Cell, attended as chief guest. Other notable attendees included Rakibul Islam Subho, General Secretary of the Bogura District Swechasebak Dal, along with former student leaders Hasanuzzaman Polash, Mahbubur Rahman, Sajedur Rahman Mohan, and AHM Nurul, and Abdullah Al Bisbah from the Dhaka College Chhatradal unit.

In his address, Rumon stated, "We have come on behalf of Tariq Rahman, also chief patron of the 'Amra BNP Paribar', to provide financial assistance to Lemon who was injured in the July uprising." He further mentioned that a wheelchair was also donated to another individual in need.
