Dhaka: Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is also the chief patron of Amra BNP Paribar, has once again extended financial assistance for the treatment of Mahmudullah Bin Jisan, the younger brother of July 2024 uprising martyr Abdullah Bin Zahid, who is suffering from cancer.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the medical assistance was handed over to the mother of Abdullah Bin Zahid by BNP Treasurer M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, who is also the state minister for civil aviation and tourism, on behalf of Amra BNP Paribar. The event was attended by Member Secretary of Amra BNP Poribar Mokhsedul Momin Mithun, journalist Zahidul Islam Rony, young entrepreneur Barrister Shahadat Bin Zaman Shovon, and members of Amra BNP Poribar Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, and Shakil Ahmed.

Earlier, Tarique Rahman had assumed responsibility for the treatment of Mahmudullah Bin Jisan. The full expenses of his chemotherapy and radiotherapy were previously covered by Amra BNP Paribar. Recently, as Jisan’s health condition suddenly worsened, doctors recommended further tests and medication.

The mother of Abdullah Bin Zahid expressed her gratitude to Tarique Rahman and Amra BNP Poribar for their continued support. Abdullah Bin Zahid was shot and killed on the night of August 5, 2024. Only fourteen days after the loss of her elder son, she learned that her 14-year-old younger son, Mahmudullah Bin Jisan, had been diagnosed with stage-three colon cancer.
