Narsingdi: BNP Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan announced that the party has once again secured victory in all five seats in Narsingdi in the national election, this time under the leadership of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Khan made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar and prayer gathering organized by the Palash Upazila unit of Narsingdi. The event, attended by district and upazila BNP leaders and activists, including the five Members of Parliament from the district, was held at the Palash Thana Sadar High School ground.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Khan emphasized the significance of unity, drawing parallels between the current victory and the party’s success in 1991 under the leadership of Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia. He expressed confidence that continued unity among party members could lead to further progress for the country.
Dr. Khan also expressed his gratitude to Tarique Rahman for his leadership, crediting him with reorganizing the party and re-establishing democracy in the country. The event saw the presence of prominent figures including Khairul Kabir Khokon, MP for Narsingdi-1 and Joint Secretary General of the central BNP; Sardar Shakhawat Hossain Bakul, MP for Narsingdi-4 and Minister for Health and Family Welfare; Manzur Elahi, MP for Narsingdi-3 and General Secretary of the district BNP; and Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, MP for Narsingdi-5, along with other BNP leaders and activists.
