In a post on his verified Facebook page, he shared his deep sadness over the passing of the revered spiritual leader, highlighting Pope Francis’s life of compassion, humility, and efforts to foster peace and interfaith dialogue.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman emphasized the Pope’s moral clarity and unwavering commitment to the dignity of all human beings, which earned him respect and admiration across faiths and nations. Rahman conveyed condolences on behalf of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and the people of Bangladesh to the global Catholic community and all those mourning the loss.
The BNP leader also expressed hope that Pope Francis’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations. Pope Francis passed away today at the age of 88.
