DHAKA: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman emphasized the enduring influence of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani in inspiring efforts to create a self-reliant nation. Rahman highlighted Bhashani’s lifelong dedication to the country and its people as a source of motivation for building a strong society.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rahman made these remarks in a message commemorating the 144th birth anniversary of Bhashani. He stated that following the path laid out by Bhashani would ensure the achievement of a multi-party democratic system, free from obstacles. Tarique Rahman expressed deep respect for Bhashani, acknowledging his role as a leader of the oppressed and praying for the eternal peace of his soul.
