T20 World Cup: Despite losing Liton early, Bangladesh off to a good start vs Pakistan

Bangladesh made a good start against Pakistan in their last Super 12 Round match of the T20 World Cup at the Oval Ground in Adelaide.

 

Bangladesh lost Liton Das early in the innings after opting to bat first. Liton fell prey to Shaheen Afridi in the third over after hitting a six in the same over. It was a short ball. Liton tried to keep it down but failed. Shawn Masood took an easy catch.

At the end of eight overs, Bangladesh were batting at 56 for 1. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Soumya were not out for 35* and 9*, respectively.

 

Bangladesh made three changes to their playing XI for this match: Soumya Sarkar, Nasum Ahmed, and Ebadot Hossain were included in place of Yasir Ali, Hasan Mahmud, and Shoriful Islam.

If Bangladesh win this game, they will qualify for the semifinals, but if they lose, Pakistan will advance to the next phase after South Africa suffered a shock defeat to the Netherlands team earlier in Adelaide.
