Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has initiated legal proceedings against Supriya Bhattacharya, the son of former State Minister for Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya, over allegations of amassing wealth that exceeds his known sources of income.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akther Hossain informed reporters at a press briefing that Supriya Bhattacharya stands accused of acquiring and possessing assets valued at Taka 63,55,538. These assets reportedly have no clear justification based on his known income sources. The case was filed by ACC Assistant Director Khorshed Alam.
