Patuakhali: A student was killed in a road accident in the bus stand area of Sadar upazila of the district today. The deceased was Sabikun Nahar Shoshi, 24, daughter of Jahangir Sikder, from Uttar Boalia village of Golachipa upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when a passenger bus hit Shoshi, leaving her critically injured. She was initially taken to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital, where doctors recommended transferring her to Barishal Medical College Hospital. Unfortunately, Shoshi succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Shoshi was a student at Barishal Jamjam Institute of Health Technology and Mates. Family sources reported that she was returning to Barishal with her family after a vacation.
