Patgram: A school student drowned while taking a bath in the Dharla river yesterday in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district. The victim was identified as Shahid Mia, 15, son of Fayzar Rahman of Shiyalkhowa village in Aditmari upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, office-in-charge of Patgram thana, Mizanur Rahman, stated that Shahid Mia drowned while bathing in the Dharla river. Later, locals recovered his body. Since there were no complaints, the body was handed over to the family, Rahman added.
