Sunamgonj: Sunamgonj Science and Technology University (SSTU) today celebrated its first founding anniversary with a series of programs. The celebration program began at 10:00am with the hoisting of the national flag at the temporary campus in Shantiganj, followed by a colorful rally.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, to mark the day, the SSTU authorities hosted a discussion at the Shantiganj Jhilmil auditorium with SSTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nijamuddin presiding over the event. Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury addressed the discussion as the chief guest.
Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Alimul Islam, Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-Un-Nabi, Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ileas Mia, and Police Super Tofail Ahmed attended the event as special guests. Students, teachers, and other officials of the district also participated in the ceremony.
