SSC, Equivalent Exams Begin Tomorrow Across the Country

Dhaka: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations are set to commence across the nation tomorrow (Thursday). This significant academic event will involve approximately 19.28 lakh candidates, who will sit for the examinations under nine general education boards, the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 1,490,142 candidates will participate in the examinations under the nine general education boards, conducted at 2,291 centers nationwide. Among these candidates, 701,538 are male, while 788,604 are female students. Additionally, the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board will see 294,726 students appearing for the exams, with 150,893 male and 143,833 female candidates. The Bangladesh Technical Education Board will have 143,313 candidates, comprising 108,385 males and 34,928 females.

The examinations are slated to conclude on May 13, with practical exams scheduled from May 15 to May 22. The Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers' Committee has implemented measures to ensure the examinations are conducted in a fair, peaceful, and copy-free environment. The committee has also warned of legal consequences for those involved in leaking question papers and spreading rumors.
