Dhaka: The government has announced a special holiday for workers and employees in industrial areas on February 10. The Ministry of Public Administration released a notification today confirming this decision.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification stated that the special holiday is intended to allow workers and employees in industrial areas to exercise their voting rights. This move is part of the government's efforts to facilitate participation in the upcoming 13th national election and referendum.
In addition to the special holiday on February 10, the government had previously declared holidays on February 11 and 12, which fall on Wednesday and Thursday, to coincide with the national election. These measures aim to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to participate in the electoral process.
