Tokyo: Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus today received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Soka University. He was honored with the degree in recognition of his contributions to social innovation and global development. Prof Yunus also delivered an address to a distinguished audience at Soka University in Tokyo.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, President of Soka University, Suzuki, also spoke at the event. Prof Yunus, wrapping up his Japan visit, is scheduled to depart Tokyo for Singapore enroute to Dhaka tomorrow morning via a Singapore Airlines flight. He is expected to arrive home late at night on the day.
Prof Yunus embarked on his Japan visit on May 27, marking a four-day tour in the country.
