Dhaka: Administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation Md Shafiqul Islam Khan emphasized the necessity of social awareness and increased monitoring to address the mosquito problem in the city.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Khan highlighted that controlling mosquitoes requires more than just spraying insecticides. He remarked on the importance of enhanced social awareness and vigilant monitoring during an introductory and views-exchange meeting with officials and employees of DNCC Zones 1, 6, 7, and 8 at Uttara Sector-6 Community Centre in the capital.
In a related development, DNCC has suspended an executive engineer for negligence of duty. Khan asserted that all ongoing tender works must be completed on time and past irregularities in the tender process will be scrutinized, with all allegations thoroughly investigated.
Khan also emphasized that no illegal activities will be tolerated within the city corporation. He expressed his commitment to working diligently for the city, stating, “I have come here to work. People should see that we are trying to work for the city.”
He urged all officials and employees to remain committed to their responsibilities, stressing the importance of punctuality and dedication to their work.
