Skills Can Make Entrepreneurs Successful with Limited Resources

Rangpur: Youth and Sports Secretary Md Mahbub-ul-Alam has emphasized that entrepreneurs can achieve success even with limited resources by acquiring essential skills and enthusiasm. “Honesty and effort are the keys to becoming a successful entrepreneur. Youth should not just run after jobs but should establish themselves as self-employed people by utilizing their youthful energy and creative knowledge,” he stated during a views-exchange meeting.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting, held at the District Shilpokola Academy auditorium, was organized by the Rangpur District Administration and the Department of Youth Development (DYD). Md Mahbub-ul-Alam served as the chief guest, highlighting the importance of becoming an entrepreneur by leveraging the knowledge gained through training and stressing the necessity of hard work in achieving entrepreneurial success.



Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal presided over the meeting, with contributions from special guests including DYD Director General Dr Gazi Md Saifuzzaman, Director (Administration) MA Akher, and Deputy Director for Rangpur DYD Md Abdul Faruk. The chief guest addressed the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, emphasizing the need to confront obstacles with intelligence and strategy.



Md Mahbub-ul-Alam urged unemployed youth to participate in DYD training programs to foster self-employment and contribute to national development. He encouraged them to create employment opportunities for themselves and others, reinforcing the significant role that skilled entrepreneurs can play in economic growth.



Dr Gazi Md Saifuzzaman revealed that the DYD has implemented various projects aimed at providing employment to unemployed youth, including increasing the availability of entrepreneurial loans. He further mentioned a Taka 543 crore project intended to train the July fighters and martyred family members of the 2024 Mass Uprising.



The event was attended by government officials, representatives of youth organizations, trainees, and self-employed workers, all underscoring the collaborative effort to empower the youth through skill development and entrepreneurship.
