Six Police Officials Transferred to New Postings

Dhaka: The home ministry has announced the transfer of six police officials, including two officers of deputy inspector general (DIG) rank. The transfers, which are set to take immediate effect, were detailed in a circular issued by the Public Security Division under the home ministry. The circular was signed by the Division’s deputy secretary, Mahbubur Rahman.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Khandaker Nazmul Hasan has been reassigned to the Police Headquarters (PHQ). Meanwhile, DIG Ruhul Amin has been posted to the Tourist Police. In another move, PHQ assistant inspector general of police, Quamrul Islam, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Rajbari. His predecessor, Rajbari SP Shamima Parveen, has been transferred to serve as the commandant of the In-Service Training Centre in Thakurgaon.



Additionally, an SP from the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Mohammad Naimul Hasan, has been appointed as the Madaripur SP. The current Madaripur district SP, Md Saifuzzaman, has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.
