Six Districts Receive New Police Superintendents

Dhaka: The government has appointed six superintendents of police (SPs) to various districts across the country in a move aimed at maintaining law and order effectively. "The order issued in public interest will come into effect immediately," stated a Home Ministry notification released today, signed by the Ministry's deputy secretary, Abu Sayyed.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification detailed the new appointments: SP of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Mohmmad Sarwar Alam has been appointed as the SP of Gaibandha, and the SP of Dinajpur, Md Marufat Hussein, has been transferred to Faridpur as SP. Additionally, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Md Mizanur Rahman, is now the SP of Dinajpur. Other appointments include SP of Habiganj ANM Sajedur Rahman to Pabna, DC of DMP Goutam Kumar Biswas to Habiganj as SP, and DC of DMP Mohammad Billal Hossain to Nilphamari as SP.
