Dhaka: The play 'Siraj-ud-Daulah' will be staged tomorrow at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. 'Prottay Bangladesh Jatradal' from Netrokona is set to perform the production at the Experimental Theatre Hall on Monday at 6:30 pm. The play is written by Sachin Sengupta and directed by Jewel Rana.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and coordinated by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The month-long jatra festival commenced on December 1. A total of 36 troupes are scheduled to stage 36 plays, including a special Victory Day production titled 'General Osmani'.
The jatra shows are scheduled daily at 6:30 pm, with tickets available for purchase at Tk 100.
