Dhaka: Jahanara Abedin, wife of the prominent Bangladeshi artist Zainul Abedin, also known as Shilpacharya, passed away today due to complications related to old age at a city hospital. She was 94 years old.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan expressed profound shock and sorrow over her passing. In a message of condolence, Dr. Niaz Ahmed highlighted Jahanara Abedin’s significant contribution to the success of her husband, Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin.
Dr. Niaz Ahmed also offered prayers for the eternal peace of Jahanara Abedin’s soul and extended deep sympathy to her bereaved family.
