Dhaka: Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S. Murshid today urged the officers and employees of her ministry to work efficiently from their respective positions, emphasizing the importance of upholding the spirit of the July mass uprising.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sharmeen delivered these directives during a views-exchange meeting with officers and employees at the Department of Women Affairs. She highlighted the significant role that girls played in the July mass uprising, stating, "Remembering their sacrifice, we must remain committed to justice, avoiding corruption and negligence in our duties."
Prior to the meeting, Sharmeen inspected the premises of the Department of Women Affairs, where she provided necessary directives to the officials and employees. The meeting was attended by key figures including the newly appointed Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Department of Women Affairs, Zinat Ara, Director (Joint Secretary) Naima Hossain, National Project Director (Green Climate Fund) Md. Abdul Hai Al Mahmud, and Additional Director Md. Monir Hossain.
